The volatility apparent in financial markets in the first quarter of 2014 continued through April. Concerns over the Chinese economy, geopolitical tensions in the Ukraine and Russia, and the outlook for global earnings all impacted markets at various points during the month. However, the one constant during the month was a continuation of the renewed global search for yield evident since the start of the year.
